Puppy Milestones

Just like humans, pets go through various stages throughout their life and undergo a lot of physical and even personality changes. This is particularly true from birth to about one year. If you want to document your pet’s evolution throughout that first year, a milestone package is the best way to do it. We’ll capture images of them as young puppies or kittens, a few months old when they’re in that awkward phase, around six to eight months old, and then one additional session at their first birthday.

Puppy Cake Smash

This is similar to a one-year-old baby’s cake smash session, but instead you have a one-year-old fur baby eating cake for their birthday! If you are getting the cake for this session, make sure it has doggy-approved ingredients. These days, there are many gourmet pet bakeries (barkeries!), so consider this an opportunity to collaborate and network!

Senior Moment Session

Our pets get older just like us, and those gray muzzles and calmer demeanors are all the reason to photograph them. Senior pets are incredibly special whether we adopted them in their maturity or have watched them grow up.

Holiday Session

If you’re going to dress your pet up in an adorable costume, then you better make sure to get high-quality images of the moment! From Easter bunny ears to pumpkin getups at Halloween to elf costumes in December, there’s always something fun to come up with! These sessions are indoor, studio sessions.

My Pet & Me Session

These sessions are so sweet, and we can tailor them to you and your pet’s exact needs. Maybe we capture some heart-warming images of you and your dog on a fun hike through the woods, or maybe posing together at home on the couch, or dressed up in bowties together. The options are endless!

PET ADOPTION ANNIVERSARY

If you’ve just adopted a new pet into your world, or if you’re celebrating an adoption anniversary, you’ve got a perfect excuse to have images taken of your fluff.

Equine sessions

Let's capture the beauty of your magnificent mustang or your stubborn yet jaw-dropping gorgeousness stallion!

Multiple Dog family session

I love it when the entire family gets together to celebrate, well, being a family. It's even better when you include your pets!

Color Powder Sessions

These sessions are a great way to capture the "colorful" expressions and personalities of your little best friend.

Preparing For Your Session

So you booked the session, and your next question is, “Now what?”

Let’s start with the beauty side of things. For long-haired animals, they should be properly groomed before the shoot. Lucky for you, your session fee includes a date with our friends over at Happy Tails grooming! There, your pet will be pampered to a spa day and will be ready for their photoshoot.

I generally provide snacks. However, if your animal has special dietary needs or allergies, consider bringing a small bag for them. Treats and even noise makers will keep them focused and attentive. Have them come a little hungry to give them motivation. They generally pay better attention when there is food involved.

On the day of the session, make sure to give them the right amount of exercise to help release nerves and energy. You know your animal best, so please exercise them enough to relieve any over-excitement, but be careful not to exhaust them completely.

Bring a leash and collar. If we are outdoors, it is better to safe than sorry. If your pet can be controlled without it once we get to the location, we can then remove it.

If you plan on being in the photo shoot, plan your outfit ahead of time. I recommend wearing something flexible and comfortable. You will be moving around, on the ground, and having fun after all!

Each session will benefit an animal in need!

For each session, I ask that you donate at least one bag of pet food to donate to a rescue or shelter. I am also donating 10% of each product sale to a rescue or shelter.

On behalf of ALL of us, THANK YOU for supporting rescue pets.

FAQ

What if my dog can't be off the leash? I doubt he will sit long enough for photos.

No problem! In fact, 99% of the dogs I photograph are actually on a leash. If your dog loves to run and play but has no recall, I have a 50 ft leash that will keep him safe so we can get great action shots. Your dog won’t sit for a photo? Trust me I have a number of tricks up my sleeve to help your dog sit still long enough for a photo. And really all I need is a fraction of a second!

Can I be in the photos with my pet?

Umm, absolutely! I encourage it!

Do you photograph other pets or just dogs?

I do. I photograph cats, horses, bunny rabbits, lizards, birds, and any other pets who are a part of your family!

My dog is fearful of new places and strangers. I'm not sure how she will behave.

We will allow enough time for your pet to adjust and get comfortable. I also have a zoom lens that allows me to stand at a distance and still capture your pet. That way, she will be calm and comfortable. I strive to keep them happy and calm during each and every session!

What if I have more than two dogs that I want photographed?

The more the merrier!
